Who we are
Patch Notes AI is a free weekly email newsletter about AI for builders. This page covers the website at patchnotesai.com and the newsletter. Questions about any of this can go to [email protected].
What we collect
- Your email address, when you subscribe. This is the only thing you have to give us.
- Basic newsletter activity, such as when you subscribed and whether emails are opened or links are clicked. Our newsletter platform records this so we can see which issues are useful.
- Standard server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider may log things like your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested, mainly for security and keeping the site running.
We don't ask for your name, address, or payment details, and we don't run ads on this site.
How we use it
- To send you the weekly newsletter.
- To occasionally email you about a new free resource or a product we launch (for example, the optional paid tools mentioned on the site). You can opt out at any time.
- To understand what readers like so we can make better issues, using totals and trends rather than looking at individuals.
- To reply if you write to us.
Who else handles your data
We don't sell or rent your email address. A few services help us run things, and they process data on our behalf:
- beehiiv hosts the signup form, stores our subscriber list, and sends the emails. See the beehiiv privacy policy.

We may also share information if the law requires it.
Cookies
This site doesn't set its own tracking cookies. The signup form is provided by beehiiv and may use cookies or similar technology to work properly and to prevent spam. Emails may include tracking pixels or tracked links so opens and clicks can be counted. Most email apps let you block remote images if you'd rather not be counted.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe using the link at the bottom of any issue. It takes one click.
- Ask to see, fix, or delete your data by emailing [email protected]. We'll take care of it within a reasonable time.
- If you live somewhere with privacy laws that give you additional rights (such as the EU, the UK, or California), you can use those rights too. Just email us.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address while you're subscribed. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, we'll remove it from our active list. Backups and records our providers are legally required to keep may linger a little longer.
Security
We rely on reputable providers and keep access to the subscriber list limited. No online service is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable care with your information.
Children
Patch Notes AI is written for adults and isn't aimed at children under 13. If you think a child has signed up, email us and we'll delete the address.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top and, for big changes, mention it in the newsletter.
